Devotional Message
There are times in this life when we become discouraged, and feel like giving up on a person, place or thing. Then that causes us to lose confidence in ourselves. Therefore when you are facing such a situation do not give up, but wait on the Lord. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!

There are times in this life when we become discouraged and feel like giving up — on a person, a place, a dream, a situation. That discouragement causes us to lose confidence in ourselves. But the Word of God says: wait on the Lord. Waiting on the Lord is not passive or weak. It is an active, courageous trust that God is working even when you can't see it. It takes courage to wait when everything in you wants to rush, to fix, to force, to quit. But when you wait on the Lord, He strengthens your heart. He renews your strength. He lifts you up. So don't give up — wait on His timing. He is working all things together for your good, and His timing is always perfect.

Identify one situation where you've been tempted to give up. Write it down and pray: 'Lord, I'm waiting on You. Strengthen my heart. I trust Your timing.'
