One invitation can change a life
Session 1 of 3
Come. See. Go. Tell.
Sharing Christ with the People Around You
Key Verses
John 1:45-46
"Philip found Nathanael and told him, 'We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.' 'Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?' Nathanael asked. 'Come and see,' said Philip."

Evangelism is an invitation, not an argument. Philip didn't have a theological defense ready for Nathanael's skepticism — he just said, 'Come and see.' He brought his friend to Jesus and let Jesus do the rest. That's still the most powerful evangelism strategy in the world. The Samaritan woman had a similar instinct: after one encounter with Jesus, she dropped her water jar, ran into town, and simply said, 'Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did.' One moment with Jesus turned her into the first evangelist in her city. We don't need all the answers. We don't need a perfect presentation. We need the conviction that the gospel is the power of God for salvation, and the willingness to be a worker in a field that is already ripe. Someone in your life is one invitation away from meeting Jesus. Bring them. Let them come and see.
Fruit Focus
Love — caring enough about people to invite them into a life-changing encounter with Jesus.
Talk It Through
Who is the 'Nathanael' in your life — someone close to you who is skeptical or far from God? Have you ever simply invited them to 'come and see'?
Philip didn't have all the answers; he just brought his friend to Jesus. What keeps you from bringing people to Jesus — fear, not knowing enough, or something else?
The Samaritan woman's first instinct after meeting Jesus was to run and tell her whole town. When did you last tell someone what Jesus did for you?
Read Romans 1:16. Are you ever ashamed of the gospel? Where do you feel pressure to stay quiet about your faith?
1 Peter 3:15 says to be prepared to give an answer with 'gentleness and respect.' How would you explain the hope you have in one sentence?
Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Who in your world is 'ready to be harvested' — already softened, already searching?
What is one simple, low-pressure invitation you could extend this week to bring someone closer to Jesus?
Simple Daily Action
Write down the name of one person in your life who doesn't know Jesus. Pray for them by name every morning this week, and look for one natural opportunity to invite them toward Him — a conversation, a service, a coffee.
Power Reminder
You don't need all the answers — you just need to bring them to Jesus. 'Come and see' is still the most powerful invitation in the world.
