Key Verses

When a person trusts Jesus, their spirit is made brand new instantly — fully forgiven, fully alive to God. But Paul prays for three parts of a person to be made whole over time: spirit, soul, and body. That means your mind, your emotions, your will, and your physical habits are still in process even after your spirit is secure. The good news is that this process moves forward through small, simple actions, not overnight overhauls. You don't have to fix everything this week — you just need one daily action, repeated, while depending on God to do what you can't.
Fruit Focus
All Nine Fruits (Introduction) — This week, simply read the full list in Galatians 5:22-23 and notice it as a whole. Over the next six weeks, this list becomes the measuring stick for growth — not perfection, but visible evidence that the Spirit is at work.
Talk It Through
Before this study, how did you picture what it means to 'grow' as a Christian — a big moment, or a slow process?
Does it change anything to think of your spirit, soul, and body as three different (but connected) areas of growth?
Read Galatians 5:22-23 together. Which of the nine qualities do you most want to grow in over the next seven weeks, and why?
What is one small daily action — not a big resolution — that could realistically fit into your day this week?
2 Corinthians 5:17 says the old has gone and the new is here. What 'old' thing are you still carrying that you want to release?
If your spirit is already made new, what does that change about how you approach your struggles this week?
What does 'sanctification' mean to you personally — and how does it feel to know God is the one doing it, not you alone?
Simple Daily Action
Read Galatians 5:22-23 each morning and pick one fruit of the Spirit to notice throughout your day. Don't try to manufacture it — just watch for where the Spirit is already at work.
Power Reminder
You are not starting from zero. Your spirit is already made new in Christ. The small action this week isn't about earning anything — it's about learning to notice what God is already doing in you.
